Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

The short version: KitBeacon uses a minimal number of cookies. We don't run advertising cookies or track you across the web. The only third-party cookies come from Kit, our email signup provider.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit. Some cookies are set by the website itself (first-party), others by third-party services embedded in the page.

What cookies KitBeacon uses

KitBeacon uses a very small number of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools. We do not build profiles of your browsing behaviour.

Cookie Type Purpose Duration
Kit signup form Third-party (Kit / ConvertKit) Set when you interact with our email signup form. Used by Kit to manage the signup process and prevent duplicate submissions. Session / up to 1 year
Stripe Third-party (Stripe) Set when you visit the Pro upgrade payment page. Used by Stripe to prevent fraud and secure the payment session. Session

We do not set any first-party cookies ourselves. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising technology.

Third-party cookies in more detail

Kit (ConvertKit) — our email list provider. When you submit your email via the signup form on our homepage, Kit may set a cookie to manage the subscription process. Kit's cookie use is governed by their own privacy policy at kit.com/privacy.

Stripe — our payment provider. If you click to upgrade to Pro, you are directed to a Stripe-hosted payment page. Stripe uses cookies for fraud prevention and security. Their use is governed by Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Your choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking cookies from Kit may prevent the email signup form from working correctly.

Common browser cookie settings:

Do we use a cookie consent banner?

Under GDPR, a cookie consent banner is required when a site uses non-essential cookies (such as analytics or advertising cookies). Since KitBeacon only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the functionality of third-party services you actively choose to interact with (signing up or paying), we do not display a consent banner. If our cookie use changes in the future, we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism if required.

Changes to this policy

If we start using additional cookies, we will update this policy and notify subscribers if the change is significant.
